CreativeLive Motion Language

Client: CreativeLive Project: Motion Design

CreativeLive asked my team to  explore pushing the brand to a new level through motion and design. I designed out some style frames and made a short, channel level motion study to showcase the way the brand and existing logo could come to life on screen.

The overall theme was "in process".  Our goal was to make something that looked and felt as if it was building/iterating on the fly - just like the creative process that most of our students go through. We get it. We're creators too and we've got you.

The next step was animating out all the style frames to demonstrate the motion style in action. It’s versatile, fun and mildly rebellious.

Expanded Design System

This motion study led to the creation of an expanded design system for motion and video.

Gitchy type that oscillates between brand typefaces for a “creating in progress” experience. Bright and bold color palette based on broadcast color tones. Rebel voice and tone like an independent radio station.

CreativeLive’s all access subscription pass launch video was one of the places that these motion ideas were put into action.

The “in progress” motion style lead the way for content marketing that speaks to the creator in all of us.
